The Montebello Park Experience
The hub of the Niagara Wine Festival can be found in historic Montebello Park in downtown St. Catharines. One of the oldest and most beautiful parks in the Niagara Region comes alive for two weekends in September. A celebration of Niagara and the bounty of harvest, the Montebello Park wine and culinary experience truly showcases all that the Region has to offer. Local chefs will provide regional cuisine from one to three tokens per portion, while VQA wines can be purchased by the sample or glass. Festival tokens can be purchased at the park for $3.50 (HST included) each.

The Centre Stage
Montebello Park is the premier setting for most of the Festival’s featured events including a great lineup of activities for the entire family. Experience award-winning wineries, Niagara cuisine and great entertainment each weekend. Enjoy your favourite local bands and a lineup of tribute bands as you sip and savour the best in Niagara and celebrate Canada’s 150.

Anyone over the age of 19 must wear a wristband in order to be served wine
SMOKING- No smoking is allowed on Montebello Park property. The Regional No Smoking By-Law enforcement will be in effect.
It is a violation of Alcohol Gaming Commission of Ontario’ liquor laws to bring alcoholic beverages inside Montebello park. Our event staff and security is committed to enforcing the liquor laws and alcoholic beverages brought inside the park will be confiscated.
All guests, regardless of age, will be asked to show ID when purchasing alcoholic beverages and will be provided a wristband. Wristbands must be visible when purchasing wine tasting and winery staff have the ability to ask for ID if they suspect someone wearing a wristband in not of legal drinking age
The NGWF staff reserves the right to deny admission and/or alcohol to anyone that is intoxicated or poses a hazard to public safety.
Providing alcohol to minors, and possession of alcohol by minors is a violation of the province’s liquor laws. Guests furnishing alcohol to minors and minors in possession of alcohol will be removed from the park
Anyone that appears to be under the influence of drugs or excessive alcohol will not be permitted into the park
NEW: Bottle service will stop at 7:00 pm each night and wine will be served by the glass only after that time.
Last Call will be 10:15 sharp each evening and token booths will close at that time as well
Central Taxi will provide a Get Home Safe Program with taxi stands available at the Lake Street exit
Please be advised that Montebello Park festivities are only active during the weekends of the Festival. Wineries are open throughout the week for tours and tastings, but Discovery Pass events only occur on the weekend as well.
