Inniskillin Niagara Estate Wines, Canada’s premier estate winery, was established in 1975 by co founders Donald Ziraldo and Karl Kaiser. Inniskillin’s philosophy was simple and true to the land--produce quality wines from quality grapes grown in the Niagara Peninsula. Winemaker Bruce Nicholson continues to receive international recognition for his table wines and Icewines. He focuses on Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris along with Merlot, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc. His Icewines feature Riesling, Vidal, Cabernet Franc and 2013 marks the launch of his first ever Sparkling Cabernet Franc. Inniskillin was the proud recipient of 2012 Top Canadian Producer at the International Wine and Spirits Competition, London, U.K. Nestled below the Niagara Escarpment, next to the Niagara River and adjacent to luscious vineyards, Inniskillin offers a year round wine country experience including tours, tastings, events, and shopping. Renovations were completed in 2007 to broaden hospitality offerings. The Piazza connects the visitor to the old restored Brae Burn Barn (inspired by the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, hosting retail and tasting bars) to Founders’ Hall (our culinary centre including Demo Kitchen and the Riedel Room). Highlights include our Inniskillin Icewine Experience, The Great Canadian Kitchen Party and the seasonal Market Grill and Smokehouse. Canada Day Celebrations-July 1-4.
