Coyote's Run is a small craft winery focused on producing wines of quality and distinctiveness. Located in the town of St. David's, just outside the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, the winery is situated on a 58-acre vineyard and offers tours and tastings in a relaxed rural setting. The vineyard has a very unique dividing line that separates it into two distinct sections: on one side, the dark black clay soil common to the region, while the other side has a rare, lighter red clay soil. The difference between these soils has a remarkable difference in the taste of the wines- the "Red Paw vineyard" wines are more fruity and perfumed, while the "Black Paw Vineyard" is rich and earthy. Winemaker, David Sheppard, focuses on crafting VQA wines that are complex and elegant, yet always balanced.
